UF has two primary faculty involved with neutrino physics: myself (the sole dedicated
experimental neutrino physicist), and
Pierre Ramond, world-famous theorist. In
addition, faculty members with other primary specializations
have worked on or are working in some way on neutrino experiments,
mostly in the absolute mass measurements:
Hendrik Monkhorst,
and Tarek Saab.
Key Players
As of Fall 2013, my group consists of 4 undergraduates and 2 graduate students. Undergraduates are welcome in my group.
Contrary
to popular lore, I have found undergraduates are just as capable of producing high-quality, publishable work
as graduate students. Everyone goes through the same learning curve.
