PHY 2005 - Summer 2000
You should bring a No. 2 pencil, an eraser, and a scientific calculator to the exam. You may also bring four formula sheets (8.5" x 11" paper or smaller, no problem solutions allowed): one from each of the mid-terms plus a new sheet covering Chapters 28 and 29. No other written materials will be permitted. The exam will consist of 15 multiple-choice questions covering the following material from Bueche and Wallach (B&W):
There will be nine questions covering Chapters 19 through 27, four from Chapter 28, and two from Chapter 29. The questions will all be roughly at the level of B&W's no-star or one-star problems. There will be no true/false statements, no two-loop circuit problems, and no questions involving multiple lenses. Office hours: Prof. Ingersent will be available to answer your questions (1) any time Monday between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm; (2) Tuesday afternoon from 1:00 to 5:00 pm.
