Exam 3 — Fall 2006

Exam 3 will take place in NPB 1002 from 8:30 to 10:25 a.m. on Thursday, November 16. Please try to arrive by 8:25 a.m. You should bring writing implements, and you may use an electronic calculator and as many as three formula sheets. No other papers or electronic devices may be used during the exam.

The exam will consist of 10 questions, each worth a maximum of 10 points. Nine of the questions will be in a format similar to those on Exams 1 and 2, and those on previous semsesters' exams (see the exams page for samples)>. The tenth question will instead consist of several independent multiple-choice parts, which may be qualitative or quantitative in nature. Each multiple-choice part will be similar in difficulty to the questions appearing under "Multiple Choice" at the end of each chapter of the text.

The exam questions may address any of the material covered in class through Thursday, November 9. However, the emphasis will be on material covered since the second exam. These topics are listed below, along with the most closely related sections of the text.
