Dec 13 Homeworks 11 and 12 and Exam 3 (questions, solution) have been graded and can be picked up from NPB 2162 during regular working hours.

Dec 2 Posted Practice Exam 3.
Dec 2 Exam 3 will be held in class on Wednesday, December 7, beginning promptly at 12:50 p.m. and ending at 1:40 p.m. The exam will test topics covered in the course through the end of the discussion of solution of partial differential equations via separation of variables in Cartesian coordinates. The emphasis will be on material presented since the second exam: linear algebra, Fourier analysis, and differential equations. Questions on differential equations will focus on material covered in Sections 21.11, 13.2, and 13.4 of Boas.

Please try to arrive in NPB 1220 a few minutes before 12:50. You should bring pencils or pens and may use up to three formula sheets up to 8½" × 11". No other aids (such as notes or electronic calculators) may be used.

Oct 24 Exam 2 will be held in class on Monday, October 31, beginning promptly at 12:50 p.m. and ending at 1:40 p.m. The exam will test topics covered in the course through the end of the section on functions of a complex variable. The emphasis will be on material presented since the first exam. Please try to arrive in NPB 1220 a few minutes before 12:50. You should bring pencils or pens and may use two formula sheets up to 8½" × 11". No other aids (such as notes or electronic calculators) may be used.
