Students may pick up their exams from NPB 2162 between 10:00 a.m. and noon
on December 10, 11, 13, or 14, or between 2:00 and 5:00 p.m. on December
10–12.

Exam 3 will take place between 8:20 and 10:10 p.m. on Wednesday, December 5
in NPB 1002.
The exam will test topics covered in class through the end of the discussion of
the Frobenius method for solution of linear ordinary differential equations
and on the homework through HW 11.
The emphasis will be on material presented since the second exam:
applications of contour integration, linear algebra, Fourier analysis, and
differential equations.
Please arrive in NPB 1002 a few minutes before 8:20 p.m. to allow an on-time
start to the exam. You should bring pencils or pens and may use three formula
sheets, each up to 8½" × 11". No other aids (such as notes or
electronic calculators) may be used.

In preparing for the exam, you may wish to review Homeworks 1-4, as well as
Exam 1 from Fall 2011 (see the resources page).
However, the exam will not necessarily be limited to topics covered on the
homework or on last year's exam.
