The mid-term exam will be held during the regular lecture periods
on Monday March 20 and Wednesday March 22. The exam may address
any material covered in the course
up to the end of the general discussion of quantum statistics
(i.e., through Reif Section 9.8).
However, no calculations will have to be performed in the
microcanonical ensemble. Students will be permitted to consult
Reif, Callen and/or their lecture notes during the exam, but no
other written materials will be permitted.
