Dec 20 Course grades were uploaded to the Registrar's Office around 10:30 a.m. today.
Dec 20 The mean score on the final exam was 61%. Graded exams may be picked up next week (email Kevin Ingersent for an appointment) or next semester.
Dec 9 Corrections to Homework 8: In Question 2, replace "polar" by "azimuthal". In Question 4, replace "sin2θ sinφ" by "sin2θ sin2φ". The online version of the assignment has been updated.

Dec 8 The final exam will take place in NPB 1002 between 7:30 and 9:30 a.m. on Friday, December 17. The exam will focus on material covered since the second mid-term: quantum-mechanics in three dimensions and spin. Addition of angular momenta will be restricted to two spin-½ objects. There will be two multiple-choice questions, similar in style to questions 1—3 of Homework 8, as well as longer problems similar in style to those appearing on the mid-terms. Please try to arrive in the exam room by 7:25 a.m. and bring writing materials. You may also bring three formula sheets (up to 8½" × 11") and an electronic calculator. No other electronic devices may be used. Any integrals beyond the basic level will be provided on the exam sheet.

Nov 10 Mid-term Exam 2 will take place in Turlington L007 between 8:20 and 10:10 p.m. on Monday, November 15. The exam will address material covered in the course through the end of the in-class discussion of 3D potentials that are separable in Cartesan coordinates and through Homework 6. Please try to arrive in the exam room by 8:15 p.m. and bring writing implements. You may also bring two formula sheets (up to 8½" × 11"). No electronic devices, including calculators, may be used. Any integrals beyond the basic level will be provided on the exam sheet.
Nov 8 The Homework 6 deadline has been extended to the start of class on Monday, November 15. No credit will be available for submission of this assignment after the deadline.

Oct 1 The solution to Homework 3 will be distributed and discussed at the start of Monday's class. (No late homework will be accepted after that point.) Come prepared with questions about the past exams posted on the course resources page or any other matters of concern.
