The announcements below are listed in reverse chronological order.

May 1 Homework 8 and the final exam (solution here) have been graded and course grades have been assigned. Office hours will be held to allow assignments to be picked up:
Thursday May 2 10:00 a.m.—3:00 p.m.
Friday May 3 12 noon—2:00 p.m.
Assignments not collected by May 1, 2014 will be destroyed.
Apr 23 The final exam will take place in NPB 1011 (the regular class meeting room) between 10:00 a.m. and noon on Tuesday, April 30. Please try to arrive in the exam room by 9:55 p.m. and bring writing materials. You may also bring three formula sheets (up to 8½" × 11") and an electronic calculator. No other electronic devices may be used. The exam will focus on material covered since the second mid-term: quantum-mechanics in three dimensions and spin. Addition of two angular momenta will not be tested.

Apr 3 The deadline for on-time submission of Homework 6 has been extended to the start of class on Wednesday, April 10.
Apr 1 Mid-term Exam 2 will take place in NPB 1101 (not NPB 1011) between 8:20 and 10:10 p.m. on Monday, April 8. The exam will address material covered in the course through the end of the in-class discussion of the postulates of quantum mechanics and through Homework 5. Please try to arrive in the exam room by 8:15 p.m. and bring writing implements. You may also bring two formula sheets (up to 8½" × 11"). No electronic devices, including calculators, may be used. Any integrals beyond the basic level will be provided on the exam sheet.

Feb 13 Mid-term Exam 1 will take place in NPB 1101 (not NPB 1011) between 8:20 and 10:10 p.m. on Monday, February 18. The exam will address material covered in the course through the end of the in-class discussion of boundary conditions at jumps in the potential and through Homework 3. Please try to arrive in the exam room by 8:15 p.m. and bring writing implements. You may also bring one formula sheet (up to 8½" × 11"). No electronic devices, including calculators, may be used. Any integrals beyond the basic level will be provided on the exam sheet.

Jan 16 Office hours on Friday, January 18 have been shifted to 10:00–11:45 a.m. This is a one-time change.
Jan 16 The dates of the mid-terms have been confirmed to be February 18 and April 8. Each exam will take place from 8:20–10:10 p.m. in NPB 1101 (not to be confused with NPB 1011, the regular class location).
