Travel from Orlando International Airport to the University of Florida
The drive from Orlando International Airport (MCO) to Gainesville is approximately 125 miles, and typically takes between 2 and 2.5 hours.
Driving Directions
- Follow signs for the airport exit.
- Take the Beeline Expressway about 6 miles to the Florida Turnpike North. (If you miss the Turnpike exit, you should stay on the Beeline another 4 miles, then take I-4 North for approximately 4 miles to the Turnpike. Both the Beeline and the Turnpike are toll roads.)
- Take the Florida Turnpike North for roughly 50 miles to its end, where it merges with I-75 North.
- Take I-75 North for approximately 59 miles.
- Leave I-75 at Exit 387 (SR 26, Newberry Road).
- Turn right off the exit ramp and head east along SR 26, which at first is called Newberry Road, but after a couple of miles becomes W University Avenue.
- About 4.2 miles from I-75 you will come across the University of Florida campus on your right.
- To enter the campus, turn right onto Gale Lemerand Drive, passing between large brick entrance signs.
