Driving from University Ave to the Physics Department
These instructions assume that you have turned off W University Avenue onto Gale Lemerand Drive.
- Take Gale Lemerand Drive past Ben Hill Griffin Stadium to its intersection with Stadium Road.
- To reach the Physics Department, continue straight through the intersection. However, if you need a visitor's parking permit, instead turn left onto Stadium Road. After 30 yards there is a kiosk beside the road, where you can obtain your permit. Tell the attendant that you are visiting the New Physics Building. Once you have your permit, make a U-turn and turn left back onto Gale Lemerand Drive.
- Take Gale Lemerand Drive downhill to the next light (Museum Rd).
- The New Physics Building is located at the southeast corner of the intersection of Gale Lemerand Drive and Museum Road. Parking is available (1) in the lots on the right side of Gale Lemerand Drive, just beyond Museum Road; (2) in the lot east of the Physics Department, reached by turning left onto Museum Road, then right at the second turn-in.
- The main entrance to the Physics Department is reached from Museum Road, about 50 yards from the corner of Gale Lemerand Drive.
