Travel from the University of Florida to the NHMFL
The main facility of the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory (NHMFL) is in Tallahassee, Florida, located approximately 155 miles by road from the University of Florida.
Driving Directions
- From the University of Florida campus, take W University Avenue west for approximately 4 miles. (About halfway, W University Avenue changes into Newberry Road.)
- Turn right onto the I-75 North entry ramp.
- Take I-75 North for approximately 48 miles.
- Leave I-75 at Exit 435 (I-10 West) and connect to I-10 West.
- Take I-10 West for approximately 100 miles.
- Leave I-10 at Exit 196 (SR 263, West Capital Circle).
- Turn left onto West Capital Circle.
- Continue south on West Capital Circle, passing through the intersection with SR 20.
- Fork left onto Orange Avenue (instead of continuing on Capital Circle towards the airport).
- Turn left onto Paul Dirac Drive. (Look for the Innovation Park sign on the left side of the road.)
- After approximately 1/2 mile, turn right onto East Paul Dirac Drive.
- The NHMFL will be on the left after approximately 1/4 mile.
