This hiking trip will be remembered as a fishing paradise: little hiking, lots of fishing, and lots and lots of trout. Baker Lake, Thunder and Lightning Lake, Fifth Lake have all been superb fishing destinations. Thunder and Lightning Lake was full of crazy hungry trout and fishing was a plain surreal experience. The first day, a 10-hr hike, was done on one liter of water: two streams we expected to cross were bone dry. Crossing of Contact Pass planned toward the end of the trip was canceled due to the pattern of rainy afternoons pursisted for three last days, with thunder and lightning seen right over the pass at one of these days.
