  • mathematical background: vector analysis (gradient, divergence, curl), fundamental theorem of calculus and its generalizations: divergence and curl theorem
  • Maxwell equations
  • Conservation laws
  • Electrostatics, magnetostatics (in vacuum and in media)
  • Solution methods for partial differential equations; applications to physical systems
