The University of Florida High Energy Theory (HET) Group
is studying a broad range of topics in elementary particle
physics including both theory and phenomenology.
This research addresses fundamental questions, ranging from the
nature of M-theory, of the cosmological constant, and the relation between
Quantum Chromodynamics (the theory of strong interactions) and string theory,
to areas of more immediate phenomenological interests, such as
the distribution of dark matter, the origin of fermion and neutrino masses,
and the signatures of supersymmetry and/or extra dimensions at colliders.
The HET faculty are members of the
Institute for Fundamental Theory and work closely with the
University of Florida High Energy Experimental Group.
In addition, group members collaborate with high energy physics
researchers at the National Laboratories and at other major universities.
