  • Take-home final exam posted, due Apr. 22.

  • Journal club presentations held April 12 and 14, evenings w/ dinner in NPB2165. Please sign up for times in class.

  • Class meets 7th period 1:55pm in NPB 1011. 1st meeting: Wednesday, January 6 2022
  • Course covers collective phenomena in condensed matter systems: electron-electron and electron-phonon interactions, superconductivity, magnetism,  quantum transport and topological matter.

  • Professor: Peter Hirschfeld, research interests in superconductivity and low temperature physics

    • Prerequisite: PHZ6426 or equivalent.
    • No required text; some recommended texts may be useful (see syllabus), but course will be taught from notes.
