DEC 3000 System Info
The DEC 3000 series of is composed of the following models:
- Pelican Family
- Sandpiper Family
- Flamingo Family
The addition of a W or an S suffix
to the model name denotes "workstation" or "server", respectively.
This specified the options a system had when purchased (i.e., graphics
card, etc.).
A more complete description of DEC 3000 system components can be found
in chapter 1 of the DEC 3000 300/400/500/600/700/800/900 AXP Models System Programmer's Manual (EK-D3SYS-PM).
Some Systems and Options catalogs can be found in the
Documentation Area.
