Week number fifteen, Tuesday April 21 last class, end of classes


Lecture Tuesday: General Relativity Chapter 36, summary of lab grades. Final exam in the same room, Friday, May 1 12.30-2.30 pm

Week number fourteen, April 13-17

Almost there!!!!

Thursday: during first 10 minutes of class - collection of results of practice test distributed in class on Tuesday. If you missed Tuesday class - prepare the answers in advance from online copy: practice final
Lecture Tuesday: Special Relativity Chapter 35, Thursday:  Special Relativity Chapter 35 and General Relativity Chapter 36, quiz in class.
Last Lab #10 Wavelength of light .

Week number thirteen, April 6 - April 10

Lecture Tuesday: Radioactivity Chapter 33, Appendix E, Thursday - Nuclear Fission and Fusion Chapter 34;.
Lab #9 Index of Refraction.

Week number twelve, March 30-April 3

Exam 3 answers, exam3 results and exam 1+2+3 total points (out of maximum 300), exam 3 distribution, exams 1+2+3 distribution.
Tuesday - Exam 3 in class, Chapters 20, 25-29, answers for practice test distributed on class. Thursday Chapter  31 (Light Quanta)
No labs this week

Eleventh week, March 23-28

  Chapters  29, 20 ( Light Waves, Sound Waves), Lab #8 Simple Lens .

Exam 3 is comming: Tuesday, March 31. Chapters 25-29, and 20.

Tenth week, March 16-20

  Chapters  27-28 (Color, Reflection and Refraction), lab  #7 Pinhole camera


Ninth week, March 2-6

Lecture on Tuesday: Discussion of Exam 2 and Chapter 25 (Electromagnetic induction), lecture on Thursday - Chapter 26 - Light

No labs this week, Happy Spring break (after that)!!!

Eighth week, Feb. 23-27

0. Thursday in class exam 2! Chapters 8,9,10,22,23,24. Practice test:  test 2 , answers: test 2

2.  We have lab this week despite the exam on Thursday: Lab#6 Electric circuits.

Seventh week, Feb. 16 - Feb. 20

1. Lectures: Chapters 22 and 23 , Tuesday and Thursday respectively, read the book in advance.
2. Lab #5  Absolute zero

1. Lectures: Chapters 5 and 6, Tuesday and Thursday respectively, read the book in advance


2 . Lab: Acc. due to gravity


Second week Jan. 13-17

Lectures:

Tuesday: Chapter 3.  Linear Motion. Read Appendix A at the end of the book.
Thursday: Chapter 4.

1 hour of lab Tuesday and Thursday: Motion in 1D

Bring a quadrille ruled composition book and ruler.
