Welcome to the Saab group home page at the physics department, University of Florida. Our main research focus lies in the field of experimental astrophysics and cosmology. Using cryogenic detectors, operated below 100 mK, we are looking for the much sought after Dark Matter in underground laboratories (the CDMS experiment), or by turning our field of view outward towards the stars, searching for evidence of Dark Matter via the x-rays that are emitted from inter-galactic and inter-cluster gas with powerful X-ray telescopes such as that NASA missions Micro-X and the International X-ray Obervatory.
