I am graduate student in the physics department of the University of Florida. I study under the supervision of Steve Detweiler, and am part of the theoretical astrophysics group of the Institute for Fundamental Theory.
I have a variety of interests, spanning much of physics and science in general, but I am currently focused on aspects of the self-force problem in black hole spacetimes. It is a fascinating topic motivated in large part by the prospect of doing low-frequency gravitational wave astronomy through the LISA satellite. (For more details, see my research page.)
