Even though most Chinese students have large vocabularies benefited from their taking TOEFL and GRE exams, some funny misspellings are still frequently found in the mail list of Chinese Student Association. I don't know whether they misspelled intentionally or inadvertently. Here are several examples:

1. sale & sail
"I will move this week. I have a very good car for sail,..."
someone replied: Is this a car or a boat?

2. guys & gays
A girl wrote, "Hi gays, do you know ..."
someone replied: Are you a lesbian?

3. mattress & matrix
"I have a 7.5X5.5 matrix for sale,.."
someone replied: I have only heard 3X3, 4X4, ..., nXn matrix, but never heard about 7.5X5.5 matrix.

4. busboy & bathe boy, bathe girl
"A restaurant wants a bathe boy or a bathe girl,..."
someone replied: Is the job to massage or to clean tables?

5. stuff & staff
"I have some staffs to sale, ..."
someone replied: I can't believe that slavery transaction still exists on today.

6. election & erection
"Next Wednesday is the erection day for the new chairperson of our association ..."
someone replied: So, girls have no hope to be the new chairperson.
