"Separation of DNA Molecules Using Pulses of Electric Field"

5/01/1995 - 4/30/1998

Joint Sponsors - NSF and CNRS

The goal of the Project is to develop a detailed understanding of the structure of a DNA molecule moving through a gel in a strong electric field and to use it to improve the separation techniques. We are working on a set of analytical and closely related numerical models. These models will allow to simulate the motion of ultra - large DNA molecules in constant an in pulsed electric field.
