International Summer Research Program in Gravitational-Wave Physics:
Research Experiences for Undergraduates around the world

University of Trento
Contact: Prof. Bill Weber
The Experimental Gravitational Physics Group in the Physics Department at the University of Trento in Italy is involved in research on gravitational waves, both on the ground (VIRGO) and in space (LISA and LISA Pathfinder). Prof. Stefano Vitale, the Group's Director, is also the Principle Investigator for the LISA Pathfinder mission. The group offers opportunities for experimental work, data analysis, and preparation for the upcoming LISA Pathfinder space mission. Proposed projects are set in the context of all the large gravitational wave projects mentioned here. Students will be exposed to the group's participation in these projects and will be involved in regular meetings with the rest of our large group.
