APS Moore Award Recipient

Qiaoli Yang, former UF Physics PhD recipient (2012) and present Associate Professor of Physics at Jinan University in China, has been awarded the American Physical Society (APS) Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation Visitor award. As award recipient, Yang will return to physics to work with his former advisor, Pierre Sikivie, to explore the quantum natures of axion dark matter. Axions are generally existing in theories with extra dimensions such as the string theory thus a deep understanding of their quantum properties and the induced cosmological, astrophysical and laboratory implications can serve as a new window of exploring ultra-high energy scale new physics.  Congratulations to Qiaoli!
