Professor Cliff Will wins the APS Einstein Prize

Congratulations to Distinguished Professor Cliff Will who has been awarded the American Physical Society’s 2021 Einstein Prize. Cliff shares the prize with Saul Teukolsky of Cornell and Caltech. They are cited “for outstanding contributions to observational tests of general relativity with theories of gravitational waves, astrophysical black holes, and neutron stars.”

The Einstein Prize is awarded biennially for outstanding accomplishments in the field of gravitational physics. For more information, see Einstein Prize.

Cliff also received the 2019 Albert Einstein Medal from the Albert Einstein Society in Bern, Switzerland. To add to the impression that he is master of all things Einsteinian, Cliff’s latest book “Is Einstein Still Right?” has just been published in the US by Oxford University Press.
