Getting to Gainesville

The Gainesville Regional Airport is served by Delta Airlines, US Airways, and American Airlines. The airport is located approximately 7 miles from the Hilton Hotel. A shuttle service is availalbe. Please complete a request form and fax or email it before you arrive. Send an email to David Tanner with your arrival time when you transmit the form.

Other options are Jacksonville International Airport (JAX), Orlando International Airport (MCO), and Tampa International Airport (TPA). All are a 1.5 to 2.5 hour drive.

The Hilton is located on the west side of the University of Florida campus. All conference sessions will be there and it is within walking distance of the Harn Museum, the LVC conference banquet site. Local restaurants in the downtown Gainesville area and along Archer Road are a short drive or taxi ride from the Hilton Hotel, but few are within easy walking distance.

Pay close attention and respect the speed limits when traveling along route US 301. The cities of Lawtey, Starke, and Waldo have well-deserved reputations for enforcing speed limits. It is advisable also to respect the speed limits on I-75 south of Gainesville.
