Physics labs prepare for online summer instruction

During the past week, volunteers from the physics lab instructional team assembled over 500 lab kits.  These kits are now ready for shipment to physics students enrolled in our introductory summer labs. In the coming weeks, students will build a lab apparatus and collect authentic data at the kitchen table to demonstrate the learning outcomes of our face-to-face lab courses.

The lab courses serves as a cornerstone of our experiential undergraduate curriculum. This endeavor involved six weeks of planning and assistance from a team of physics staff, including the physics machine shop, the fiscal team, laboratory and instructional specialists, faculty, and administrative support from the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences.
